Chinese calligraphy Class (1-3 hours)

As an "Authentic China Experience" recommended by Lonely Planet, you will:

1. Handle the Four Treasures of the Study - the artisan-crafted tools that shaped China's literary legacy:

• Wolf-hair brushes with bamboo handles
• Moss-soot inksticks 
• Xuan rice paper dating to Tang Dynasty techniques

2. Explore the philosophy behind Chinese characters and their evolution from oracle bones to modern script.

Guided by the experienced teacher, Mr. Yan, you will learn proper brush handling and basic stroke techniques. After practicing, create a meaningful character such as “Fu,” “Le,” “He,” or “Mei” on a traditional Chinese fan or ornament. Take home your personalized calligraphy masterpiece and enjoy a cultural tour of our workshop, immersing yourself in rich Chinese heritage.

The basic class duration is 60 mins.
