Itinerary
Your private guide will meet you in your hotel lobby within 4th ring road of downtown and take you to Hutong area by subway or Taxi. (transportation cost is on your own)
You will explore Hutong area from downtown center upon arrival.
Optional visit: The Drum Tower and Bell Tower, which were historically struck to signal the time of day.
Learn about the history of the Hutongs as you walk through the area, then hop on a rickshaw to experience traditional Hutong transportation. Rent a bike to further explore the lanes, and take a break with a drink or a beer while soaking in the unique atmosphere of the Hutong. If possible, enjoy a meet-and-greet with a local family in their Hutong home. Along the way, visit iconic sites such as the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, Nanluoguxiang, Yandai Xie Street, and Shichahai by rickshaw or bike. Depending on your booking, you may also have the option to visit the Lama Temple, Summer Palace, or the Temple of Heaven.
At the end of the tour, your guide will assist you in taking a taxi or subway back to your hotel (cost is at your own expense).
