Itinerary

You will be picked up by the private guide and driver at the hotel lobby. Head to the Temple of Heaven which is a world-famous park used to be the place where the emperors worshipped the God of Heaven 600 year ago. It is one of the ancient Chinese temples of its kind that still stand with supreme status in integrity and characteristics.

After you reach the Temple, you will immerse yourself in Chinese culture in a unique way.

Experience Tai Chi has been a once in a lifetime experience for many people. Master Han will show you the 24 simplized yang style Tai Chi, and then teach you the Tai Chi basic movements step by step.

Don’t worry if you’ve never practiced before, the master will correct your movements patiently and help you express your body as nature intended which will leave you feeling refreshed and energetic.

After that you will visit some important buildings such as the circular Altar, Imperial Vault of Heaven and Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. You will understand the significance and functions of each building. By the end of tour, you will be transferred back to the hotel.

Do I need any previous experience for Tai Chi?

Not at all! Our lessons are designed for beginners. The Master will focus on simple, elegant movements that anyone can follow regardless of fitness level.

What should I wear?

We recommend loose, comfortable clothing and flat walking shoes or sneakers. Avoid tight jeans or formal shoes.

Where does the Tai Chi lesson take place?

We practice in the shaded pine groves within the Temple of Heaven park—the same places where local Beijingers have gathered for generations.
