  1. Driving Time: 1.2 hour
  2. Entrance fee 45 RMB p/p
  3. cable car 120 RMB p/p
  • Badaling is the most famous and crowded section of the Great Wall, opened to tourism in 1957. It is also the most visited and commercialized section.
  • It is not recommended to visit during public holidays, as traffic can be heavy. Visitors are required to take the attractions shuttle bus, which can be time-consuming.

Lush landscapes | Cable car/toboggan options | Fewer crowds

  1. Driving Time: 1.3 hour
  2. Entrance fee 60 RMB p/p
  3. cable car round trip or ski lift up and toboggan 140 RMB p/p
  • This section is highly favored by foreign tourists for its stunning views and well-preserved walls and towers.
  • Located 75km away from downtown Beijing, Mutianyu offers a picturesque landscape surrounded by lush greenery.
  • Additionally, the road steps are meticulously paved for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

Option 3: Huanghuacheng Great Wall

Adventurer’s paradise | Untouched ruins | Photographer’s dream

  1. Driving Time: 1.3 hour
  2. Entrance fee 65 RMB p/p
  3. No cable car
  • A unique lakeside section of the Great Wall Huanghuacheng is distinguished by its picturesque setting, with some parts of the Great Wall submerged by a beautiful lake.
