Itinerary

7:30 AM: Hotel Pick up

Meet your friendly driver simply in your Chengdu hotel lobby and then head to the train station. Your driver will help you get into the train station.

Note: the train time usually go around 8:30 in the morning and return around 17:30 in the afternoon, but can be adjusted according to the your needs. We can also book hike tickets and boat tickets for you in advance, please leave us a message if you need.

8:30 AM: Depart for Leshan by Bullet Train

Board the bullet train (either first or second class), and enjoy a comfortable 50 mins ride to Leshan. Relax and enjoy the scenic journey to the town of Leshan.

9:30 AM: Arrive at Leshan

Upon arrival at the Leshan train station, you will begin your self-guided tour of the Leshan Giant Buddha.

Take a taxi to Leshan Buddha and then choose whether to hike up the scenic paths to the Buddha or take a boat cruise for a unique view of the statue. You can also combine both activities, based on your preference and time.

12:00 PM: Explore the Buddha Area

Spend your afternoon exploring the Leshan Giant Buddha and its surrounding temples, natural scenery, and other landmarks. Your time here is self-paced, so you can decide when you’d like to take a break, explore the area, or even enjoy lunch.

1:00 PM: Optional Lunch (if desired)
Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a nearby restaurant offering local Chinese dishes.

4:00 PM: Return to Leshan Train Station

After your visit, head back to Leshan train station to catch your return bullet train to Chengdu.

5:30 PM: Bullet Train Departs from Leshan

Take the bullet train back to Chengdu for a comfortable 1 hour journey.

6:30 PM: Return to Chengdu Hotel

Upon arriving back at Chengdu train station, hop-on a taxi back to your hotel, bringing your unforgettable day to a close.

Hotel pick up for hotels within 3rd ring road in Chengdu.
Please fill in your hotel pick up address in the delivery address, so that we can confirm it.
We highly recommend you book as early as possible, if you book within 15 days, we need to check if there're still train tickets available before confirm.
It's possible to upgrade to 1st class train tickets, please contact us if you need.
According to railway station rules, we need your passport copy to register in China Train Ticket booking system first, then can get ticket issued.
Please take your passport on the travel day to get inside the scenic area.
