Firstly, visit Great Wall of Mutianyu section which is considered as the seventh wonders in the world. Your private guide will take you to a less crowded section of the Great Wall where you can hike for around 2 hours, take the cable car up to the half way, and then start to enjoy your hiking journey. Then you will also take cable car on your way back. This surely save your time and energy.
Afternoon schedule is optional after lunch: Summer Palace or Ming tombs accroding to your booking option:
Summer Palace: A well-preserved royal garden. Renowned for its beautiful landscape and spectacular architecture, the Summer Palace has been listed in the World Heritage Sites and considered as one of the most classical gardens of the world.
Ming Tombs: After approximately 1 hour's drive, continue to explore the Ding Tomb, the tomb of the thirteenth emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Wanli, and his two empresses. The tomb is the only Ming Dynasty Tomb that has been excavated. This underground palace is 89 feet (27 meters) deep and has an area of over 3900 square feet (1195 square meters). After it was built, it was covered with deep soil so the people in charge of the tomb construction and later burial of the imperials erected the tablet as a sign for relocating the underground palace when needed.
After the day tour, your driver and guide will send you back to your downtown hotel.
