From Chengdu: to Emeishan Mountain by Bullet Train

Overview

Embark on a private day tour to Emeishan by bullet train from Chengdu and explore one of China’s most sacred Buddhist mountains. With hotel pickup and bullet train tickets (first or second class) included, this tour provides a comfortable and efficient way to reach Emeishan.

This is a self-guided tour, giving you the flexibility to explore at your own pace. You can choose to visit Emeishan’s Buddhist temples, take in the breathtaking views, and explore the mountain’s rich cultural heritage. Whether you prefer to spend more time hiking or visiting the temples, the choice is yours.

Itinerary 

7:00 AM: Hotel Pick up 

Meet your friendly driver simply in your Chengdu hotel lobby and then head to the train station. Your driver will help you get into the train station.

Note: the train time usually go around 7:30 in the morning and return around 18:30 in the afternoon, but can be adjusted according to the your needs. We can also book hike tickets and boat tickets for you in advance, please leave us a message if you need.

7:30 AM: Depart for Emeishan by Bullet Train  

Board the bullet train (first or second class) for the 1.5-hour ride to Emeishan.  Relax and enjoy the scenic journey to this beautiful and spiritual destination.

9:00 AM: Arrive at Emeishan

Start your visit by taking the shuttle bus up to Leidongping sation then you can choose to take cable car or hike up to the Golden Summit, the highest point on the mountain. At the summit, you’ll find the Golden Buddha Statue, and if the weather is clear, enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

If you are a hiker and nature lover, you can also choose to start at the foot of the mountain and hike up as you like at your own pace until you feel enough and then go back down.

If you still have time, you can choose to visit these places at Emeishan:

Baoguo Temple : Visit the largest and most important temple at foot of Emeishan, which is famous for its ancient architecture, Buddha statues and peaceful atmosphere.  

Fuhu Temple: Located at a lower altitude, where you can observe the peaceful life of the monks and visit the Buddhist cultural relics. 

Monkey Viewing Platform: If you are adventurous or love wildlife, visit the Monkey Viewing Platform to observe wild monkeys in their natural habitat. 

Or you can continue to explore more of Emeishan Mountain's hidden treasures such as the Xixiangchi or Qingyinge or enjoy more hiking on scenic mountain trails.

05:30 PM: Return to Emeishan Train Station

After a fulfilling day of exploration, head back to Emeishan train station for your return train to Chengdu.

06:30 PM: Bullet Train Departs from Emeishan     

Take the bullet train back to Chengdu, relaxing after your day of exploration.

1. Hotel pick up for hotels within 3rd ring road in Chengdu.
2. Please fill in your hotel pick up address in the delivery address, so that we can confirm it.
   
3. We highly recommend you book as early as possible, if you book within 15 days, we need to check if there're still train tickets available before confirm.
4. It's possible to upgrade to 1st class train tickets, please contact us if you need.
   
5. According to railway station rules, we need your passport copy to register in China Train Ticket booking system first, then can get ticket issued. 
6. Please take your passport on the travel day to get inside the scenic area.
