It is the sixth largest freshwater lake in China. It has the nickname of "Sparkling Pearl Embedded in a Highland". The lake is wide and spectacular. Every winter, a large flock of red-billed gulls migrate here from Siberia, making it a good place for bird watching and bird feeding.

-WESTERN HILLS and DRAGON GATE

Located just outside the City, for panoramic views of Dianchi Lake and Kunming. Climb up to the Dragon Gate, an intricately carved grotto, to enjoy stunning vistas and learn about its Taoist significance.GREEN LAKE (Cuihu) PARK - A serene escape with local activities and stunning scenery. -KUNMING OLD TOWN

The ancient town features rich cultural landscapes, ancient temples, beautiful lofted buildings and lively shops, making it the perfect destination for shopping in Kunming. Aside from the beautiful scenery, the snacks here are as varied as they are delicious. Be sure to try the Guandu Baba, or flat bread, a local specialty.

The museums in Yunnan Province are rich in cultural relics. There are more than 10,000 pieces of bronzes, ancient coins, ceramics, ancient paintings and calligraphy, monuments, stamps and various handicrafts.
